On Thursday 29 June members of the local WI and their friends went of an informative evening walk around Norwich discovering the "Nooks and Crannies" that abound. Led by an official guide they explored passageways and hidden locations that they would not normally have discovered. A very interesting walk that included descriptions of local and national history such as shoe production, tonic sol-fah and the many breweries of this fine city.
On Saturday 1 July the Old Buckenham Women's Institute celebrated its fiftieth birthday by having an Afternoon Tea Party in the garden of one of their members. This was acahnce to meet old friends, to just reminiscence or to look around all the beautiful flowers in the garden. Plates of home-made cakes were provided along with individual pots of tea for all those attending.
