Jazz at the Gamekeeper pub
A regular monthly jazz evening at the Gamekeeper Pub, Old Buckenham, will be starting on Wednesday 15 June at 8.30pm. It will feature music from the famous Rat Pack, the great American Song Book and swing music enjoyed by many. The musicians are a group of ex-professionals who no longer play for a living but get together to enjoy one and others playing. They have played for many years in all the genres which has put them individually with many famous artists and musicians which has included Tom Jones, Matt Munro, Van Morrison, Chuck Berry and bands such as the BBC Radio Big Band and American jazz musicians such a Eddie "Lockjaw" Davis, Jimmy Witherspoon and John Bunch who resided here in Old Buckenham. The musicians featured are Tom Melvin – vocals, Nigel Portass – keyboards, Jeff Burbidge – bass, and Bob DorĂ© – drums.
