Centenary Salver awarded to Old Buckenham WI
Each year there is a competition open to all Women's Institutes in Norfolk and Old Buckenham has always done well, having come second or third in previous years. But this year they excelled themselves and came first.
The competition involves producing a display to depict a given theme and using various craft skills. This year they included sugar craft, flower arranging, biscuit making, patchwork and card making.
The village WI members who visited the displays in Dereham today were 'over the moon' at their success after many years of trying.
