At the Airfield and on the Green
There were plenty of people at Old Buckenham Airfield yesterday to take part on the Remembrance Service at the 453rd War Memorial Garden.
Following the service there was the official opening of the new 453rd Bombardment Museum in the recently-built Nissan Hut style building which soon filled up with visitors. Many made a point of signing the visitor's book and leaving their comments.
In the afternoon a crowd gathered by the village war memorial on the Green for a short service and to lay wreaths in memory of those villagers who lost their lives in the two world wars.
