Australians play test cricket at Old Buckenham

Age was no barrier
Today Old Buckenham Cricket Club hosted a test match between England and Australia. The fact that each country was represented by a team of players over seventy years of age was a credit to all of them.
There had been an usually large amount of rain the afternoon and evening the day before the match and the 'ground staff' had been up early in the morning to make sure that play could go ahead.
The Australians batted first and completed their fifty overs. Tea was taken with a little rain delaying the restart for a while. Then it was time for the England team to bat and they finally won by 7 wickets with 7 overs to spare. The game was played in a superb spirit with all the players and support of both teams staying late into the night.
