Milestone reached by Old Buckenham blog

This is number 1000
It is five years since this Old Buckenham blog was started and it has now, with this item, reached one thousand posts and has been acessed at least 42,250 times.
As blogs go it does not have a huge readership, about 250 a week or 35 per day. It has been looked at by people from 155 countries all over the world. Of these around three-quarters are from the UK and surprisingly nearly 10% are from the USA.
Monday is the most popular day for logging on to the the site and it is least popular on Saturdays.
Very few people ever leave comments - it would be interesting to see what you think about what is done to tell you of some of the activities of this little Norfolk village of Old Buckenham.

As newcomers to the village (only just completing or second year!) We enjoy finding out whats going on and coming up. We don't always get the newsletter so its nice to see it here.
Please keep up the good work.

My parents-in-law spent 28 years of happy retirement in the village until they died so we got to know the village very well. I read the blog regularly to keep that link. Cathryn Hall

I love to read the blog - I grew up in Old Buckenham and my parents still live there. It's great to see the photographs of village events and keep up to date with what's going on. Because I read the blog I sometimes I know things about the village before my parents!!

This is absolutely amazing, RB you should be incredibly proud about what you have created. It is a shame that there are not more comments. Maybe there should be a publicity campaign to get people more involved or publish a few contentious issues. One you could try is the safety of children as they cross the B1077 at the Abbey Road / Hargham Road Junction on their way to school, no wonder parents end up driving their children to school. Lets start a campaign
RB maybe invite comments in the body of the text

The blog is a great way of keeping in touch with whats going on in the village, I sometimes find that before I get home from the event the photos have been posted - keep up the excellent work.....AH
