Silver Wings is wonderful
A few month's ago the Old Buckenham Social Circle had a talk on the American Airforce Memorial Library in Norwich. As a result the blog editor went into Norwich to see what they were doing as part of the Heritage Open Days that are on at the moment.
There was a wonderful display covering all aspects of the life of those over here during WWII that filled the Forum. There were lots of American vehicles outside along with singers, dancers and bands performing non-stop along with straw bales to sit on while you watched and listened. Inside you could go to a couple of lectures, one by the children of an American nurse who was here treating the ill and wounded and the other on the logistics of building and running airfields in a 'foreign country'.
If you are in Norwich during the coming week, try to get along and see what is going on.
